OUR HALAL SLAUGHTER PRACTICES
Our two slaughterhouses employ registered Muslim slaughtermen who carry registered ID and are specially trained and competent in Halal slaughter procedures. All Muslim slaughtermen are reviewed and audited annually to ensure they:
-They are Muslim and fully competent by our Approved Islamic Organization for Halal.
-Every slaughterman adheres to the code of conduct outlining their religious roles, duties and observances expected of a practicing Muslim.
-They fully comply with their religious slaughter training.
-They comply with animal welfare standards and personal hygiene standards.
-In accordance with Halal procedure, only the sharpest of knives are used and resharpened for every animal. All cattle and lamb are treated with utmost respect and dignity their entire lives.
