Believe it or not, the term "Grass-Fed" is NOT legally defined by the USDA. Any producer can make the "Grass-Fed" claim on their product and this goes unchecked and unverified at the farm level. There is also currently nothing to prevent the producer from using pesticides, herbicides, chemicals, fertilizers, and feeding GMO grains unchecked.
